Why isnґt this site updated anymore?

Пиши на dim__84@mail.ru

If one likes to read one of the most funny transcriptions of an interview I ever read, and one of the very few interviews Oksana Akinsjina has given so far:
http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/09/03/1062548889971.html
She's really great and reminds me of a friend who came from a small village in the Oblast Pskow. Especially when she ordered "meat and potatoes" :-) I understand that she doesn't want to talk about the film, her family or the topic, or about Russia - why should she, anyway? Shall she savour her youth ... the fame will come soon enough, if she wants it.

I hope that Oksana might be reading this. I would appreciate if she could drop me a line - of course in Russian: there are fantastic web-translators and my girlfriend is a Russian professor from St. Petersburg university, so she could translate. "Lilja 4ever" was only recently released in Germany (in december). It would interest me what Oksana thought about the character she played in "Lilja". Was it difficult to play and which scenes were the most difficult for her ? How does she think about the underlying issue, the enslavement of - according to estimates: 500.000 - women from poorer east european countries in western europe?
I think that we have to change the law: such women in need who were brought here against their will to work in the sex industry should be granted an asylum seeker status instead of being prosecuted as illegal immigrants. This would help these women to come forward and to inform against their tormentors. To achieve this, a public discussion is necessary to bring the topic on the agenda. To broadcast Moodyson's masterpiece on TV would be helpful. Unfortunately and unlike to Scandinavia, German viewers are unacustomed to watching movies with captions. The only "flaw" of Moodyson's movie appeared to me exactly its moral value. The story is told in an authentic fashion but can the hypothetical "real" Lilja remain so pure and immaculate throughout? Oksana's performance though was marvelous ... the audience in the cinema appeared deeply moved. Even after the lights went on, nobody said a word and nobody left the hall earlier. If only more people could see the movie! Btw., I didn't know that Rammstein is known in Russia :-) One remark about the nice private photographs on this site: Oksana Akinsjina appears to be a very thoughtful person... :-)

I was deeply moved by "Lilja 4-ever", I had a hard time not to start crying and was a little dazed afterwards ... I was thinking, how and what I could have done if I had encountered Lilja in Germany .. how to win her trust might be the difficult part, because she was dissapointed so often by her mother, her aunt, her female friend, her "boyfriend"...but there are enough good people here which are not at all like those
men in the movie! And there are organizations which could help such Eastern European women in need ... I wondered why Lilja had not sought help earlier or ran away, e.g. in the department store .. but I guess she felt so helpless and desperate that she could not believe to escape from that cruel life ... I wondered how a girl of sixteen could play so fabulously a character who faces such depravity? I also wonder how Oksana's surrounding reacts to her sudden fame? What I pity is, that only about 120 people in Frankfurt have seen this movie - hopefully it will be shown soon on German TV. Does Oksana kno any foreign languages anyway? :-) Paka.

Hi!
This site is great!
Especially the photos!
I live in Bulgaria. I understand a little Russian, but I can`t speak it.
So I have to write in English!
I hadn't heard of Oksana Akinshina before I saw the film “Lilja 4-ever”.
And I `m really amazed by her acting! She is very good! I like her!
I saw the film “Sisters” on the TV a few days ago! It`s really good, too!
I also have seen the film “In Movement”.
But my favorite film is “Lilja 4-ever” It`s adorable, but terribly sad.
Can somebody tell me the lyric of the second song in the film “Lilja 4-ever”,
which begins with “Я бессоная белая птица…” (or something like that :))
My e-mail is blue_smile@abv.bg . You can write in Cyrillic.
Thank you very much!
I wish you luck!
Bye!
